How to Apply
Check the Application Deadlines, now conveniently listed at the top of the requirements page for your program of interest.
Review the graduate admissions requirements and graduate entrance exams to find out what is required for your particular program.
- New, degree-seeking students: create an application account and submit the Graduate Application for the full online degree application
- Non-degree/special students: create an application account and submit the Graduate Short Application
- Resubmitting an application or re-enrolling: sign in to your application account and submit the Graduate Short Application
- Wheaton undergraduate students, visit our Accelerated M.A. page to see if you are eligible to create an accelerated M.A. account and submit a Graduate Short Application.
Important Admissions Information
Those applying to the following programs must submit scores from the GRE* General Test and have the official score report sent to Wheaton College. The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is not accepted.
- Ph.D. Biblical and Theological Studies
- Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
You can self-report your entrance exam scores to nancy.crane@wheaton.edu to expedite the evaluation process. The official score report is required before you can register for classes at Wheaton.
* GRE General Test scores are downloaded weekly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The Wheaton College institutional code for the GRE is 1905. GRE: www.gre.org, 609.771.7670.
Additional Information for International Students
- International Students applying to Ph.D. or Psy.D. programs must complete both the GRE and submit a score from the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English Test. Please see English Proficiency.
- International Students applying to M.A. programs must submit a score from the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English Test. Please see English Proficiency.
Are you interested in registering for a few classes before enrolling as a full-time student? Get a glimpse inside our graduate school classes and community by registering as a non-degree-seeking Special Student. Your courses can count towards your master's degree at Wheaton if you choose to apply at a later time.
Special Student Application:
- Create your Wheaton College Graduate School special student account
- For application type, choose Graduate Short Application.
- On page two of the online application, select Special Student Application.
The Accelerated M.A. offers Wheaton College undergraduate students the opportunity to earn a master's degree in as little as one year by taking graduate credit courses during their senior year. Learn more about the programs with this feature and the Admission Requirements.
