Graduate Assistantships at the Wheaton College Graduate School

Graduate Resident Adviser (GRA) positions are available to students in the M.A. Higher Education and Student Development program.

GRA positions are ten-month appointments that include a stipend, a weekly meal stipend in Anderson Commons throughout the school year, partial tuition remission, a one or two-bedroom furnished apartment, and other employee benefits. A two-year commitment is required.

Graduate Assistants (GA) are part-time, one to two-year professional positions that work alongside various departments within the Higher Education and Student Development program. There are GA positions in the Office of Ministry & Evangelism, Office of Multicultural Development, International Student Programs, and Learning and Accessibility Services, among others. GA positions provide graduate students the opportunity to both earn an income and gain career experience specific to the field in which they work. Students work 20 hours a week during the academic year, are paid a bi-weekly stipend and are provided a supplemental meal plan.

GA application is included in the online program application for M.A. Higher Education & Student Development.

If you are interested in a Graduate Resident Adviser (GRA) or Graduate Assistantship (GA) position, you will be given an opportunity to indicate your interest in your application to the HESD Program. Review available types of positions here and list your interests when prompted. There is no separate application for a GRA/GA position. Instead, it is a part of the application process for admission to the graduate program.  

Eligibility

• Applicants must commit to being full-time residential students in the M.A. in Higher Education and Student Development program.
