A contemplative look at the the Way of Sorrows.
“Via Dolorosa, The Way of Sorrows” is a newly installed photography exhibit by art professor Gregory Schreck that explores themes of suffering and diversity in the global church. The exhibit is the first art installation on the recently renovated fifth floor of the Billy Graham Center, the new home of the Biblical and Theological Studies department.
“Via Dolorosa, The Way of Sorrows” is the first portion of a new exhibit currently being installed on the fifth floor of the Billy Graham Center. Under the auspices of the President’s Art Comission, Associate Dean of Biblical and Theological Studies Dr. Jeff Greenman and Art Department Chair Professor Joel Sheesley spent several months combing through the Billy Graham Center Museum archives and commissioning new works for the fifth floor that will tell the biblical story of salvation from creation to Christ. The entire exhibit, which will incorporate works from classic and contemporary artists, is scheduled to be completed by April.
Additionally, the Art Department is hosting 30 minutes of morning and evening prayer in Adams Hall each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the Lenten season. The prayer services take place at 8:30 a.m. and 5:15p.m..
