Arriving for Wheaton Passage
Arrival and Check-In Process
Please arrive on campus between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. All students MUST check in at Smith Traber to receive group assignments, luggage tags and storage tags.
The Wheaton Passage Staff will be running shuttles to BOTH Chicago airports. The first shuttle will arrive between 9 and 10 am depending on traffic. Once the first shuttle arrives, a staff member will stay in the airport to meet students and connect them with the Shuttle drivers. If you arrive before the first shuttle, you should wait for them at the locations listed below.
If any part of flight itinerary changes on the day of travel, you should call HoneyRock Office immediately at 715.479.7474 ext. 201.
O’Hare Airport
Wilderness: arrive at O'Hare Airport on your arrival day by 2:00pm.
Urban: arrive at O'Hare Airport on your arrival day by 2:00pm.
Northwoods and Equestrian: arrive at O'Hare Airport on your arrival day by 12:00 pm.
O'Hare Meeting Location
A HoneyRock staff member wearing a HoneyRock T-shirt with a yellow sign will meet students in the Terminal 2 lower-level baggage claim area near the Starbucks, between doors 2B and 2C. If they don’t see anyone, they should wait at the alcove with payphones. Staff members will arrive with the first shuttle, between 9 and 10 am. If students arrive before the staff member, they should wait at the location listed above until they arrive. After 10 am, a staff member will remain there all day.
Midway Airport

Wilderness: arrive at Midway Airport on your arrival day between 7:00am and 2:00pm.
Urban: arrive at Midway Airport on your arrival day between 7:00am and 2:00pm.
Northwoods and Equestrian: arrive at Midway Airport on your arrival day between 7:00am and 12:00pm.
Midway Meeting Location
A HoneyRock staff member wearing a HoneyRock T-shirt with a yellow sign will meet students near the Southwest Airlines baggage claim area. Staff members will arrive with the first shuttle, between 9 and 10 am. If students arrive before the staff member, they should wait at the location listed above until they arrive. After 10 am, a staff member will remain there all day.
Only Northwoods and Equestrian Tracks have the option of a HoneyRock drop off. Urban and Wilderness students must check in at Wheaton College.
Please arrive between 7:00pm and 11:00pm on your arrival day. Follow signs to the office, where our staff will meet you. You will move into your housing and join your group leader in waiting for the buses from Wheaton to arrive.

Northwoods and Equestrian students have the option of meeting the buses at the East Towne Mall Food Court between 6:45 and 7:15 pm on arrival day. They will then load the busses and head up to HoneyRock!

What to do on Arrival Day:
Please see "Arriving and Checking In" for this information! All students must check in at Smith Traber between 10am - 2pm.
This is a great opportunity to share a final meal with your family! Families will be responsible for purchasing their own lunch on the day of check-in. Wondering where to eat? Ask our front desk!
Students who are flying in should carry money to purchase food en route (breakfast, snack, and/or lunch)
Wilderness Introductory Meeting
There is an introductory meeting for students and parents at 3:00 pm in Barrows Auditorium in the Billy Graham Center. After the introductory meeting, with the guidance of their small group leader, students will pack their backpacks or dry bags for their trip. Your luggage for the "CONVERGE" part of Passage (where all tracks Converge at HoneyRock) will be sent up to HoneyRock and will be waiting upon your return from the wilderness. After dinner, buses will depart for wilderness destinations.
Urban Introductory Meeting
There is an introductory meeting for students and parents at 3:00pm in the Meyer Science Center. Following the meeting, Northwoods and Equestrian students will board coach buses and drive North while the Urban students will board vans and head to Chicago.

Campus Storage in Fischer Hall and Smith/Traber Hall will be available between 10:00am and 2:00pm on the first day of each Passage track for all students who are driving to Wheaton College or flying to Midway or O’Hare airports. If you are a transfer student who will not be living in Fisher or Smith/Traber, you can still store your things in either storage location while on Passage.
This is the beginning of an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime transition. We're covering this day, along with the whole Passage experience, in prayer. Before your student boards the plane to Chicago or the bus headed up North, don't forget to take a moment and dedicate this next step to the Lord.
Return to Wheaton
Students will return to Wheaton College the afternoon of August 22. Parents are welcome and encouraged to meet students when they arrive on campus! This is a great opportunity to help your student move in and participate in New Student Orientation.
