Be a part of our program staff this coming Summer!
Overview
Service Team
Service Team is a small group of high school students and counselors who spend the summer doing life together. They eat, pray, work, learn, lead, live, and grow together. Known at camp as “Steamers”, these emerging adults experience life as members of the Body of Christ namely through deep mentoring relationships with YOU, the Service Team counselors, as well as through their close-knit peer community and the larger HoneyRock family. We pray for a life-changing summer that fosters both healing and maturity as our campers return home. Service Team is one of the foundational programs of HoneyRock. Running for seven weeks, it is the longest program of the summer and thereby, a unique camper discipleship opportunity.
Venture
Venture is a five week program for juniors and seniors in high school. It exists to develop disciplemakers. It's an opportunity to take the Truth campers have learned about God, self, community, and the Church and put it into practice through leading a day camp program alongside an awesome community of their peers.
Voyageur
Voyageur is a new program for 2017 dedicated to providing high school students, specifically rising 11-12 graders who are looking to be challenged through experiences in nature that require learning and applying outdoor skills.
SALT/2:22 Staff
The School of Adventure Leadership Training (SALT) provides advanced ministry training and leadership experience to college students. SALT serves two main areas: counseling high school students in 2:22 and leading Wheaton Passage. The primary focus of SALT is discipleship and modeling a heart of service. SALT students will engage today’s youth culture, serve those in need, be equipped with crisis training and plan Bible studies, all under the guidance of HoneyRock staff and Wheaton College professors.
Staff Training
Staff training is six weeks long, during which students will be thoroughly trained in the areas of discipleship, leadership, and ministry. Community development and team building are an important focus during this process. Students will also receive training in nationally recognized certifications in areas such as backpacking, sea kayaking, canoeing, ropes course facilitation, Wilderness First Responder and water safety.

The Leaders of Program Team
One of the most powerful aspects of Program Team is the opportunity for discipleship that comes from the length of our programs. Living and working together invites acceptance and builds trust. Cabin counselors have a unique opportunity for pouring into the lives of students because they experience daily life together with the students for the summer.
