The world needs courageously resilient and rooted leaders who are ambitious, humble, and have a vision for where they’re headed. We need a rising generation of youth and young adults who not only have unpacked the theory and art behind leadership, but have practice leading others in order to further develop and be prepared to go out and serve the Church, either on the mission field or in the marketplace.
That’s why the Summer Leadership School (SLS) exists. It’s all about discovering gifts, abilities, and passions; receiving individualized coaching and mentoring; and learning how to manage teams, empower others, and solve problems. Through our Summer Leadership School, you’re challenged to learn how to lead by leading. While we teach theories, talk about best practices, and run scenarios - the true learning happens when you apply these lessons to real situations.
For the first time, students are not required to count their summer experience for class credit - this allows students who want the experience, but don’t need the credit, to save money. Interested in applying for an unforgettable summer? Send an email to ashley.kiley@wheaton.edu.
