Yulee Lee
B.A. Political Science, Tufts University M.A. Public Policy, University of Chicago
Director of the Office of Christian Outreach
Yulee was born in South Korea and raised in Salt Lake City where she grew up skiing and snowboarding on the mountains. She is a graduate of Tufts University with a degree in political science, and her passions for organizational leadership and systems change led her to graduate studies at the University of Chicago where she earned a Master’s in Public Policy. Yulee is currently at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Studies. She has served the local church as a Children’s and/or Youth Director for 12+ years, worked at the City of Chicago’s Office of Violence Prevention, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. Yulee is passionate about collaborating for change in systems to reflect greater human dignity and flourishing for the vulnerable. Yulee is happily married to Dave Lee and their son Dylan fills their lives with tremendous joy. In her free time, Yulee finds her happy place at the ballet barre, or any medium where she can nurture her creative and artistic sides.

Assistant Director of School Year Programs
Jared came to Wheaton as undergraduate from the great state of Minnesota and has spent the last 10 years in, and around the greater Chicago Area. His Minnesotan identity and accent are especially noticeable when he engages in conversation about his favorite baseball and football team. Jared loves his work with students as Assistant Director of School Year Programs, as he works to support, train and develop student leaders involved in the Christian Service Council, Breakaway Ministry, and Zoe's Feet. He especially loves the way that service that follows after Christ's example in Scripture forms identity and contributes to spiritual formation. Jared also spends time investing in community partners all over the Chicagoland area. He has a passion to empower the next generation of leaders to serve out of their belovedness in Christ while they use their gifts and talents for the Kingdom of God. Jared is married to his wife, Meaghan, and enjoys walking with their dog Pippa.

Esther Tschappler
Graduate Assistant
B.A. Biblical Studies with Education, African Bible University 2017
Esther is the third of six children, and was raised in a small town in the beautiful state of Colorado. She was happily settled in the shadow of Pikes Peak until God gave her the opportunity to go to Uganda, first as a homeschool teacher for a missionary family and then as a college student. Her experiences in East Africa gave her a greater appreciation for the unity of the Body of Christ, the splendid array of differences between peoples and cultures, and some of the challenges and joys of living and ministering across cultures.
Esther is passionate about caring for “the least of these,” particularly vulnerable women and girls. In her natural habitat, she can often be sighted reading, biking with her younger brother, spending time with friends, attempting to learn another language, or cooking “odd but good” foods.

Kassie Walters
B.A. Psychology, Valparaiso University 2017
Graduate Assistant
Kassie was raised in a 'bring your tractor to school day' type of town in Wisconsin and recently moved to Wheaton from outside of Minneapolis where she enjoyed biking to work, going to theatre performances, exploring the Arboretum, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Kassie graduated from Valparaiso University in 2017. Some notable memories include repelling down a fire tower, being a RA, 'super-manning' down the longest zip-line in Latin America, presenting at MPA, and polkaing. After graduating, she did a year of ministry at HoneyRock where she witnessed and experienced God's love and faithfulness. Kassie is an aspiring career counselor in higher education who is excited about helping people find where their passions, skills, and values intersect to meet the needs of others. In her free time, you can find her playing basketball, drinking coffee, nestled up reading a good book, or laughing (probably at her own jokes).
