Temporary Disabilities

Students who experience temporary disabilities such as concussions, broken bones, surgeries or conditions that affect mobility should contact the Academic and Disability Services Office for classroom accommodations and to coordinate with the Registrar’s office regarding classroom location changes.

The Director will collaborate with Student Health Services, Residence Life, the Registrar and other appropriate personnel regarding transport to and from class and/or temporary housing reassignment.

The student may be requested to provide documentation from a qualified medical professional describing the nature of the injury and indicating how long the student’s accommodations will be needed.

Students who experience temporary illnesses or other types of medical conditions that do not affect them for an extended period of time should notify their individual professors.
