Dee moved into the role of Director of the Center for Vocation and Career in July 2016. After just one year she has doubled the size of the team, aligning the coaching staff within academic departments, reimagining the approach to serving the students of Wheaton College, and using data to show us where and how to adjust. These changes are intended to create an environment where all students are actively developing a plan for their life post-graduation and are prepared to execute their unique plans. Through technology, specialized coaching services, and more programming to engage students in learning in interactive and welcoming events, Dee is leading the way to a new day in preparing students for service in the kingdom after graduation.
Bringing her learning from tenures in Federal and state government, the non-profit sector, and a Big Four consulting firm, Dee’s breadth of experience enables her to bring a strategic perspective to the work of creating a center that recognizes the changing world in which our students will seek employment.
Dee earned her M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry with a concentration in Student Development from Wheaton College in May 2017. Her undergraduate degree in Government is from Franklin and Marshall College. She is the proud mother of two daughters, both of whom have very strong ideas about their own vocational pursuits! Deborah joined the CVC in November of 2005. In her role as Employer Relations Manager, she works with employers and alumni to facilitate recruitment efforts on campus and cultivate relationships that lead to career opportunities for Wheaton students and alumni. Deborah brings to the team extensive corporate experience with DuPont that includes roles as Corporate Designer, B2B Marketing Director, Marketing Communications and Brand Manager. While working with students, she shares her wealth of experience and strong connections as they explore careers and prepare for the workplace.

Sarah became a member of the CVC team in June 2017. In her role, Sarah manages the planning, marketing, and execution of all major CVC programs and events. She is also the community manager in the CVC, which includes oversight of all social media platforms. She is energized by bringing order and clarity to office procedures and regularly contributes to greater efficiency within the department. She is an emerging leader that seeks to model responsibility, effective management practices, and resourcefulness to the CVC interns she manages. Sarah brings with her years of professional development, crisis management training, event planning, and management in Residence Life.

Lindsay joined the CVC in October 2017 after working in the food and beverage industry for a flavoring company called FONA International. During her time there she performed market research and analysis while also managing FONA’s Flavor University program and trade shows. In 2016 Lindsay was named department MVP for her contributions across corporate communications, marketing, and sensory. Before FONA, Lindsay worked for Garfield Produce, a community-based hydroponics farm in Chicago. By pairing these experiences with a solutions-based mindset, Lindsay strives to help science and engineering students focus on their achievements, explore their career paths and vocations, and craft their own story.

Sarah joined the Center for Vocation and Career in 2015. Since her graduation from Wheaton College with a double major in Music and Political Science, her circuitous career path has spanned from non-profits to public school education, community agency work to higher education, and even running her own business as a music teacher, all while engaging in a number of volunteer youth and young adult ministry experiences around the world. Common themes within those positions has been a keen desire to connect, train, and empower. Her current role as Senior Career Coach in the CVC enables her to utilize those skills as well. She currently serves as the career coach for Art, Music, and Psychology undergraduate students as well as the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Psychology (PsyD) graduate programs.

Ethan joined the CVC in June of 2017 after serving as a Graduate Resident Adviser and Assistant to the Dean of Residence Life for two years at Wheaton College. Working closely with the staff and faculty in the Humanities and Communication departments, Ethan focuses on bringing insight, solutions and action-steps to students from nine distinct majors. With five years of experience mentoring and event planning for college-aged adults, Ethan feels confident guiding students toward deeper vocational-awareness, organizing key professional development events, and overseeing the burgeoning CVC Ambassador program for students. Ethan also draws on three years of experience managing multi-million dollar stores with Chick-fil-A to help students understand how their liberal arts degree translates into transferable marketplace skills.
Ethan graduated with top academic honors from Wheaton College Graduate School, receiving an M.A. in Christian Formation and Ministry with a concentration in Student Development. Ozias joined the Center for Vocation and Career in the summer of 2017. Prior to joining the CVC team, he spent a several years in South Korea where he served as the English language pastor in a local church and taught English. Preceding his moving to South Korea, Ozias served as Assistant Director of Liberty University Online and trained 72 advisors for leadership roles within the University. He also has experience in management in a retail environment, achieving short and long term sales goals and KPI results. His international experience combined with his undergrad and graduate degrees in Bible make him a natural fit to serve as the career coach for the following majors: Bible and Theology, Christian Education and Ministry, Christian Formation and Ministry, Anthropology, Sociology, Education, TESOL, MAT and Urban Studies. Ozias is dedicated to partnering with each of his students to enable them to build the church and benefit society worldwide.

Emilee joined the Center for Vocation and Career in the summer of 2017. Prior to returning to her alma matter, she spent time in corporate finance at Allstate Insurance in Northbrook, Illinois. She supported the expense planning and forecasting of two business units, and analyzed the top-line growth and bottom-line profitability of several key states. Seeking more client-facing experience, Emilee connected with a Wheaton alumnus in the data analytics and consulting division of Broadspire, a third-party administrator of risk management services. Here, she cultivated a deep appreciation for the persuasive power of numbers AND words, and how they combine to influence buyer decisions. This love of decision-making, the holistic development of a Christian liberal arts education, and the undergraduate experience led her back to Wheaton. She currently serves as the career coach to the Business Economics, Political Science and International Relations, and Math and Computer Science departments. Emilee is continually impressed by the tenacity and drive of Wheaton students, and shamelessly plugs all of her favorite podcasts to anyone who will listen.
