To encourage the involvement of Wheaton's students in Latino culture through teaching them about the history, music and steps of different styles of Latin dances.
What is Sabor Latino?
Sabor Latino is Wheaton College's Latin dance club. We want to encourage the involvement of Wheaton students in learning to dance a variety of Latin-influenced dance styles. Through the diverse, rich heritage of dance we hope that students will gain a better understanding of living in community.
We teach Latin dances such as Salsa, Rueda, Merengue, Bachata, Rumba, and Cha Cha.
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome! No experience is needed. We'll teach you the basics of Latin dance. Occasionally, we split the lesson into beginner and advanced sections.
When and where do we meet?
We meet in the SRC dance studio on Friday nights from 7:30-8:30pm for a lesson and 8:30-9:30pm for open dance. We hope to see you there!
