We as Solidarity Cabinet understand that racial reconciliation is a necessary outworking and responsibility of our Christian faith. Within the Wheaton College community, we seek to convey this conviction and to encourage others to live out this responsibility.
What We Do
As a cabinet we seek to raise awareness of race, ethnic, and cultural issues and mobilize students to live out the gospel message of reconciliation. Throughout the year the cabinet hosts panel discussions, lectures, chapels, and other programs to engage and educate the student body on issues of systemic racism. Our ultimate goal is to promote dialogue about what we as a community can and need to do in response to the racial injustices within our society.
"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." - Ephesians 4:1-3
