Admissions Interviews

Have a conversation with one of our Admissions Counselors to help us get to know you better.

Wheaton's application process is designed to help us get to know you for who you are. However, sometimes there are things about who you are that do not fit into a 500 word essay or parts of your personality that come through best in a conversation. Interviews are an ideal opportunity for you to help us get to know you more thoroughly.

You'll spend about thirty minutes talking with one of Admissions Counselors in person or over the telephone. If you are able to submit your application prior to your interview, that is helpful but not required.

While interviews are an optional part of the admission process, scheduled upon your request, we encourage all our students to do one if possible. On average, about one third of our applicants complete an interview. Be aware that interview appointments fill quickly, especially those slots within the last two weeks of the deadline. Please plan accordingly.

First-year Applicants

  • Early Action interviews are conducted between August 1st and November 1st.
  • Regular Action interviews occur between December 1st and February 1st.

Transfer Applicants

  • Spring Transfer applicants who wish to interview must do so by October 1st.
  • Fall Transfer applicants who would like an interview must do so by March 1st.

To arrange an interview, please contact our Visit Coordinator at 800.222.2419, ex. 2. Students who are living outside the United States are welcome to schedule a Skype or phone interview. Please send a request for an international interview to admissions@wheaton.edu.
