Course Offerings

The purpose of the Physics curriculum is to provide you with the concepts of classical and contemporary physics and to develop both theoretical and experimental skills. The objective is to give you a fuller awareness of the structure and principles of the created universe and their relationship to technological culture:

  • A dynamic freshman sequence that includes a broad survey of core physics concepts and hands-on training in the practice of science.
  • A dedicated Physics for the Future seminar with discussions of career options, the interactions between physics and Christian faith, and current frontier research in physics.
  • A rigorous and diverse combination of theoretical, computational, and experimental courses in the second year and beyond.

The Physics and Engineering Department offers a variety of courses, including several general education courses.
