Grace Pyo graduated from Wheaton in the spring of 2015 and then had the opportunity to spend a year overseas in Taiwan.
Grace majored in International Relations and Economics and also took Mandarin Chinese while at Wheaton.
She has been in Taiwan on a Fulbright ETA Scholarship as an English Teaching Assistant for the past year.
In a recent e-mail she related to Prof. Wang, "你好,王老师!Greetings from Taiwan! I hope that the semester is going well. I have absolutely loved my year in Taiwan and am grateful for your support. Teaching English at two Taiwanese public elementary schools, traveling around the island, learning about culture, and getting to know the community here have been a rich and unforgettable experience.Apart from teaching English, I've been taking Chinese classes and trying to improve while here. Progress is slow, but I wanted to send you a link to a radio show that I recently participated in. The interview was posted on 4/3 and 4/10. On 4/3 I start speaking around 12:20. I'm so thankful for the Chinese program at Wheaton and wanted you to know that you are having a great impact with teaching."
