Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, has more than 4,000 years of history. It is on the first day of the first lunar month and is the most important and ceremonious traditional festival in China, just as Christmas Day is to the westerners.
The Chinese Language and Culture Club and Koinonia organize the Lunar New Year Celebration annually.
Lunar New Year Festival 2018
The Chinese Language and Culture Club and Koinonia celebrated the Year of the Dog in February 2018. Students from different cultural backgrounds gathered to celebrate the Year of the Dog with food, music, dance, and mini-workshops. It was a time to not only celebrate the new year, but also students' varied talents and to share the evening with good friends.
