Do college differently.

The selective Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) program at Wheaton College offers an innovative approach for a rigorous, inquiry-driven college experience. Students can choose two or three academic disciplines from which to select coursework. IDS majors pursue individualized programs of study which emerge from three guiding directives: wicked problems, vital questions, and sticky ideas. Through analyzing, integrating, and applying the methodologies of multiple fields, IDS majors explore complex issues from a customized interdisciplinary approach.
