Writing Contests

These college-sponsored writing contests are open to enrolled undergraduate students—the Lowell-Grabill Creative Writing Contest and the James G. Jameson Contests.

Lowell-Grabill Creative Writing Contest

Each year registered undergraduate Wheaton College students may submit fiction, poetry or non-fiction to the Lowell-Grabill Creative Writing Contest. The contest's recent judges include Bret Lott, David Madden, Scott Cairns, Susanna Childress, Ramona Tucker, Vinita Hampton Wright, Cathleen Falsani, and Bruce Guernsey.

This contest recognizes outstanding research papers written by Wheaton College undergraduates from a distinctly Christian perspective

This contest recognizes outstanding ENGW 103/104 research papers written in the fall and spring semesters. All recipients of the James G. Jameson First-Year Writing Award will have their work published in the Wheaton Writing: An Online Journal of Academic Essays
