Summer Internships in Biology

Wheaton College Science Division Summer Research

Students have opportunity to work with Biology faculty during the summer. Each summer the Science Division of Wheaton College provides opportunities for students to conduct funded research with Wheaton faculty members. Students work for 8-10 weeks during the summer conducting research with faculty mentors. They receive a stipend provided by various sources of funding to the College and free Housing provided through the College. For more information contact the Biology faculty for details.

Off Campus Summer Research Undergraduate Programs 2021-2022 

  • Summer 2022 Plant Genomics at Michigan State University REU program.
    Program dates are May 23 – July 29, 2022.
    Stipend: $6,000 housing and travel support provided.
    Application deadline is February 8, 2022.

  • Cornell AgriTech in Geneva, NY offers a Summer Research Scholars Program for undergraduatestudents to carry out their own independent research projects in Entomology,Horticulture/Plant Breeding and Plant Pathology.
    June 1, 2022 (May 31 travel) and runs through July 29, 2022 (July 30 travel)
    Benefits/support included: $4,825 stipend and housing

  • The Loyola Adventures in Urobiome Data (L.A.U.D.) summer research program at Loyola University Chicago
    introduce students to ways in which data is revolutionizing research in urinary disease research.
    Undergraduate students or recent grads who are interested in how data drives medical research and clinical practice and/or urology. This is an 8 week program from June 6 - July 29
    In-Person or Online-only, with $6000 Stipend.
