Students wishing to fulfill the Wellness requirement have the option to take the Wellness Competency Exam. If after two attempts you do not pass the exam (parts 1 & 2); you will be required to take AHS 101 Wellness.
Registration and Cost
The Wellness competency exam is administered on two occasions annually - once in the fall and again in the spring.
You are eligible to attempt the exam a maximum of 2 times over the span of your Wheaton College career.
2021-2022 Exam Dates
Thursday, September 2, 2021 Meyer Building room 145 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Thursday, January 20, 2022 Meyer Building room 145 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Late arrivals will not be permitted to sit for the exam.
Registration for the Spring January 20, 2022 exam will open on Tuesday, January 11 - and closes on Tuesday January 18th.
Please register only during the registration period giving your student name and student ID# to applied.health.science@wheaton.edu
A $10 fee will be charged to your student account by the end of the Spring semester.
The exam consists of multiple choice questions. A minimum score of 70% is required to move on to the lab assignment portion of the exam.
Results of the written exam will be reported to the student within one week of the exam date. Students who successfully pass the written portion of this exam (Part 1) will be given instructions for completing the lab assignment portion of the exam (Part Two). These assignments (Activity Lab, Nutrition Lab, and Sleep Lab logs) will be due no later than 8 weeks following notification of a passing score, and will be graded within 2 weeks of submission, with both student and Registrar being notified of final overall results.
