Why Study Applied Health Science?
The field of applied health science specializes in promotion of wellness and prevention (rather than treatment), of disease through research, promotion, policy-making, and publications. This major provides rigorous preparation for medical professions such as nursing physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, as well as rehabilitation settings and wellness settings. At Wheaton, our curriculum delivered within a Christian context is designed not to merely provide the scientific content required for graduate school, but to help you develop the academic and professional skills necessary to thrive.
