And God Came In / A Love Observed Archive by Lyle Dorsett: This archive contains the materials related to the book And God Came In, a biography of Joy Davidman, wife of C.S. Lewis (New York: MacMillan and Co. 1983). The book was republished as A Love Observed (Wheaton, IL: Harold Shaw Publishers. 1998).

Author Societies Archive: The materials in this archive relate to groups and societies dedicated to promoting the works and lives of the seven authors in the Wade Center’s collections.

Bles, Geoffrey. Geoffrey Bles Publishers Archive: This archive contains business correspondence and miscellanea relating to Geoffrey Bles, the publisher of various works by C.S. Lewis.

Burleson, James. James Burleson Dissertation Research Papers: This archive contains James Burleson’s correspondence with Ann Bowden, Muriel St. Clare Byrne, Charles Dwyer, Marion Fairman, Anthony Fleming, Livia Gollancz, Marjorie Mead, Barbara Reynolds, James Sandoe, and Armitage Watkins regarding his dissertation titled: A Study of the Novels of Dorothy L. Sayers.

Busman's Honeymoon Collection: This archive contains fan correspondence and theater returns from the play version of Busman’s Honeymoon written by Dorothy L. Sayers and Muriel St. Clare Byrne.

C.S. Lewis in America: Noll Research Collection: Contains records of American reviews, etc. concerning C.S. Lewis from 1935 through the mid-1950s (it is less thorough after 1947). Compiled by Mark and Maggie Noll.

C.S. Lewis Testimonies Archive: This archive contains letters and emails responding to two separate surveys done in 1986 and 1996 regarding the influence of C.S. Lewis.

Calabria, Don Giovanni. Don Giovanni Calabria Collection: A selection of various materials relating to Don Giovanni Calabria of Verona, Italy (1873-1954), who corresponded with C.S. Lewis in Latin from 1947 to 1954.

Change Ringing Archive: Change ringing serves as the backdrop for Dorothy L. Sayers's novel The Nine Tailors. This archive contains miscellaneous materials related to the practice of change ringing, among them pamphlets, brochures, and periodicals.

Mr. Chesterton Comes to Tea Archive by Aidan Mackey: This archive contains manuscripts, typescripts, proofs, related correspondence, and other materials concerned with Mr. Mackey's book, Mr. Chesterton Comes to Tea.

Christopher, Joe R. Joe R. Christopher Publications Archive: Publications containing bibliographies and other materials relating to the Wade authors by Joe R. Christopher.

The Chronicles of Narnia Movies Archive: This archive contains materials relating to the live action movies based on The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. To date, three movies have been made: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Disney / Walden Media, December 2005), Prince Caspian (Disney / Walden Media, May 2008), and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Fox / Walden Media, December 2010).

Coomes, David. David Coomes Papers: David Coomes's accomplishments include serving as Editor of The Church of England Newspaper and as Senior Producer in BBC's Religious Department. He was a recipient of the Clyde S. Kilby research grant for his research for the book Dorothy L. Sayers: A Careless Rage for Life (Oxford: Lion, 1992). This archive includes a typescript of the book, and is a gift of David Coomes.

Dale, Alzina Stone. Alzina Stone Dale Collection: The Alzina Stone Dale Collection includes materials relating to her work on Dorothy L. Sayers, including the 1993 Sayers Centenary celebration, the Thrones, Dominations book publishing project, the writing of Maker and Craftsman: The Story of Dorothy L. Sayers (a Sayers biography), and a diverse range of correspondence.

Davidman, Joy. Joy Davidman Papers: This collection contains correspondence, personal papers, and poetry and prose written by Joy Davidman. A few documents also relate to her first husband Bill Gresham, her sons David and Douglas Gresham, and her second husband C.S. Lewis.

The Detection Club Archive: Contained within this archive are Dorothy L. Sayers’s own materials relating to her membership and secretarial duties to The Detection Club. These materials include stationery, list of members, and club constitution. G.K. Chesterton was also a member of the Club.

Detection Notes Collection by Dorothy L. Sayers: This collection features various documents relating to Sayers’s research in the areas of crime and detection, including notes from real criminal trials and detection techniques.

The Devil to Pay Archive: This archive contains materials for the play The Devil to Pay by Dorothy L. Sayers, including copies of the play, correspondence, production notes, and financial returns.

Dorothy L. Collection: This archive contains materials relating to the Oxford and Wheaton, IL productions of Dorothy L., a biographical one-woman play written by Catherine Kenney about Dorothy L. Sayers.

Dorothy L. Sayers Centenary Archive: This archive contains materials relating to the centenary of the birth of Dorothy L. Sayers (1893-1957) in 1993. Items included are schedules and programs from related events as well as newspaper clippings regarding the centenary.

The Dorothy L. Sayers Diary Collection: This collection contains a series of diaries (personal day planners) belonging to Dorothy L. Sayers.

The Dorothy L. Sayers Library Inserts Archive: The items contained within this archive were found between the pages of the books in Dorothy L. Sayers’s personal library.

The Dorothy L. Sayers Notebook Collection: This archive contains 11 notebooks with notes in several languages by Dorothy L. Sayers. A wide variety of topics are covered, but most of the material relates to Dante Alighieri and his works.

Dorothy L. Sayers Press Cuttings Archive: This archive contains articles and ephemera which were in the possession of Dorothy L. Sayers, relating to her and her work (mainly Dante-related reviews).

Duriez, Colin. Colin Duriez Papers: Colin Duriez is an authority on C.S. Lewis and has written The C.S. Lewis Handbook (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Baker Book House, 1990). This archive contains a typescript sampling of the contents of the book, given by Colin Duriez.

The Emperor Constantine Archive: The Emperor Constantine archive contains materials relating to the religious play of the same title by Dorothy L. Sayers including: various copies and scripts of the play, some production notes, and related correspondence primarily regarding the Colchester Festival where the play was first performed in 1951.

Events File Archive: This archive includes materials from various events related to the Wade authors, including dramatic performances, conferences, academic courses, exhibitions, etc.

Fleming / Sayers Culinary Papers: This archive contains a proof copy of Atherton (Mac) Fleming’s book Gourmet’s Book of Food and Drink, and additional recipes and notes relating to culinary topics by both Mac and Dorothy L. Sayers.

Future of the Jews Collection: This archive contains unpublished contributions by Dorothy L. Sayers for the 1944 symposium on “The Future of the Jews,” as well as extensive correspondence and publications relating to the topic.

G.K. Chesterton: Selected Criticism Archive: This archive is the result of the work of Sister M. Carol A.C. of India. The self-bound book is almost 500 pages long and an extremely complete gathering of Chesterton's literary criticism. It was Sister M. Carol's hope that this would someday be published. This archive also contains copies of Sister M. Carol's letters to several different publishers with a copy of the book's table of contents.

Gilchrist, KJ. KJ Gilchrist Collection: This archive contains materials from KJ Gilchrist relating to research for his book on C.S. Lewis and World War I, A Morning after War (New York: Peter Lang Publishing, Inc., 2005). Also included in the archive are several pieces of WWI memorabilia / artifacts, gathered by Dr. Gilchrist near locations where C.S. Lewis served.

Green, Roger Lancelyn. Roger Lancelyn Green Manuscripts Collection: This collection contains photocopied manuscripts of several works by Roger Lancelyn Green.

Greeves, Arthur. Arthur Greeves Diaries Collection: Arthur Greeves (1895-1966) was one of Lewis's closest friends. Lewis and Greeves met in 1914 and their correspondence spans over 50 years. This archive contains the daily diary entries of Arthur Greeves from 1917-1922.

Gregory, E.R. E.R. Gregory Papers: The Gregory Papers contain manuscripts, proofs, photographs, correspondence and other papers concerned with the book Wilkie Collins by Dorothy L. Sayers, ed. by Dr. Gregory (Toledo: The Friends of the University of Toledo Libraries, 1977).

Gresham, Douglas. Douglas and Merrie Gresham Family Archive: This archive of the Gresham Family contains manuscript material by family members and background information. Douglas Gresham is Joy Davidman’s son, C.S. Lewis’s stepson.

Gresham, William. William Lindsay Gresham Correspondence: This archive contains correspondence to and from William Lindsay Gresham [Bill]. Others involved include C.S. Lewis, Joy Davidman, and Douglas and David Gresham. Also included is correspondence to Marj Mead from Lyle Dorsett concerning the acquisition of the Gresham letters.

Gresham, William. William Lindsay Gresham Papers: This archive contains the personal papers of William Lindsay Gresham including: correspondence, and many of the works and research materials from his writing career. Supplementary Material: William L. Gresham Library Listing.

Griffin, William. William Griffin Collection: This archive includes the typescript of Griffin's biography on C.S. Lewis: Clive Staples Lewis: A Dramatic Life, here tentatively titled Rum Thing: A Biography of C.S. Lewis.

Havard, Robert. Robert Havard Papers: A collection of personal and professional papers by and about Dr. Robert Emlyn Havard, personal physician of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien and a member of the Inklings.

He That Should Come Archive: The He That Should Come archive contains materials relating to the religious play of the same title by Dorothy L. Sayers, including printed copies of the play and correspondence.

Heck, Joel. Joel D. Heck Collection: Correspondence between Joel Heck and students or colleagues of C.S. Lewis in preparation for his book: Irrigating Deserts: C.S. Lewis on Education. Included in the correspondence are the Magdalen tutorial lists from 1926 to 1954, students’ lecture notes, an essay, a diary, newspaper clippings concerning Lewis and a brochure about the play Shadowlands.

Hein, Rolland. Rolland Hein Papers: This collection contains documents relating to the teaching and personal research of Dr. Rolland Hein, Professor Emeritus of English at Wheaton College. The majority of the materials consist of research on George MacDonald, and teaching notes from the class Modern Mythology LIT: 431.

Hunt, Raymond. Raymond Hunt Papers: The Raymond Hunt Papers archive contains materials relating to the life and work of Charles Williams, including notebooks of Williams’s transcribed lectures, Hunt’s personal notes, and a small selection of published materials and correspondence.

Hunter, Jeanne Clayton. Jeanne Clayton Hunter Collection: A collection of Barfield correspondence, poems, manuscripts, publications, and other related materials from Professor Jeanne Clayton Hunter.

The Just Vengeance Archive: The Just Vengeance archive contains materials relating to the religious play of the same title by Dorothy L. Sayers including: a script of the play, press cuttings of reviews, and materials relating to the Lichfield Cathedral festival, where the play was first performed in June 1946.

Knecht, William L. William L. Knecht Papers: Correspondence and manuscripts relating to Knecht's study of C.S. Lewis and apotheosis.

Kranidas, Thomas. Thomas Kranidas Collection: A selection of materials primarily relating to the publication of A Barfield Sampler, eds. Thomas Kranidas and Jeanne Clayton Hunter. SUNY Press, 1993. Includes: correspondence, notes, typescripts, photographs and proofs of the book with annotations by Barfield.

Kutchmy, Irita. Irita Kutchmy Collection: This archive contains materials relating to Irita Kutchmy's musical, The Magic Land Beyond the Wardrobe Door.

Lang-Sims, Lois. Lois Lang-Sims Papers: Lois Lang-Sims corresponded with Charles Williams from 1943 to 1945. Williams's letters were published with her annotations as the book Letters to LaLage: The Letters of Charles Williams to Lois Lang-Sims (Kent: OH: The Kent State University Press, 1989). This archive contains drafts of the book.

Letters to Children Archive: These papers represent Dorsett and Mead's working papers for the book Letters to Children, published in 1985. The book is a collection of some of Lewis's many letters to children over the years.

Lewis Library Inserts Archive: The items contained within this archive were found between the pages of the books in C.S. Lewis’s personal library. A list and photocopies of some of the handwritten annotations in the books are also included.

Lewis, Warren H. Warren H. Lewis Diaries Collection: This archive contains a copy of the diary of Warren H. Lewis (1895-1973), the elder brother of C.S. (Jack) Lewis. The complete diary covers a span of fifty years and fills twenty-three hand-written “volumes.” This archive includes entries from January 1, 1912-July 12, 1972, and seven "Travel Journals" from various vacations.

Lewis, Warren H. Warren H. Lewis Diary Inserts Archive: This archive contains inserts from the diary volumes of Warren H. Lewis (1895-1973), the elder brother of C.S. (Jack) Lewis. The complete diary covers a span of fifty years, and fills twenty-three hand-written "volumes."

Lewis, Warren H. Warren H. Lewis Letter Collection: This archive contains personal letters between Warren H. Lewis (elder brother of C.S. Lewis) and various correspondents. Supplementary Material: Listing of Warren Lewis Letters in Other Collections.

Lewis, Warren H. Warren H. Lewis Papers: This archive contains personal papers from Warren H. Lewis, brother of C.S. Lewis, as well as inserts removed from the Boxen manuscripts and the Lewis Family Papers or Memoirs of the Lewis Family (1850-1930). A draft of C.S. Lewis, Warren H. Warren H. Lewis Walking Tour Maps Collection: The maps and books contained within this archive belonged to Warren H. Lewis. These items contain information about areas in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland where Warren Lewis and his brother C.S. Lewis went on walking tours. There are handwritten markings on several of these items.

Lindop, Grevel. Grevel Lindop Collection: This collection comprises of research materials used by Grevel Lindop while writing his biography of Charles Williams titled Charles Williams: The Third Inkling (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2015).

Lindskoog Christianity and Literature Article Archive: This archive contains correspondence pertaining to the publication of the article "Some Problems in C.S. Lewis Scholarship" by Kathryn Lindskoog in the journal Christianity and Literature (27:4, Summer 1978). Also included are copies of the article and response letters that were published.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Animated Film Archive: This archive contains the press release folder used to promote the animated dramatization of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, along with the published script, and a teaching kit. The film originally aired on April 1 and 2, 1979 on CBS.

Location File Archive: This archive contains printed material (maps, guides, pamphlets, brochures, postcards, photographs, articles and tourism materials) pertaining to UK and European locations related to the Wade Center authors.

Lord Peter Wimsey Biography Collection: This archive is a collection of materials from Christopher Dean, relating to his biography on Lord Peter Wimsey. They include biographical material on Lord Peter Wimsey and additional papers.

Love All and Busman's Honeymoon Archive: This archive is a collection of materials relating to the book containing: Love All by Dorothy L. Sayers and Busman's Honeymoon by Dorothy L. Sayers and Muriel St. Clare Byrne. Edited by Alzina Stone Dale. (Kent, OH: The Kent State University Press, 1984). The items in this archive represent some of the resources used by Mrs. Dale as she prepared the two plays for publication.

MacDonald, Greville. Greville MacDonald Papers: This archive contains letters and documents relating to Greville Matheson MacDonald (1856-1944), the son of George MacDonald.

The Man Born to be King Archive: The Man Born to be King archive contains materials relating to the religious play cycle of the same title by Dorothy L. Sayers including: drafts and scripts of the 12 dramas, production notes, correspondence and fan mail, press cuttings, and correspondence between Sayers and Heinz Geck, who translated the play into German.

The Mind of the Maker Archive: The Mind of the Maker archive contains materials relating to the non-fiction book of the same title by Dorothy L. Sayers, including: early drafts of the book, related correspondence, and a copy of the published work with annotations by Sayers.

Mitchell, Christopher W. Christopher W. Mitchell Papers: This archive includes papers from the career of Christopher W. Mitchell, who served as the third director of the Marion E. Wade Center from 1994 to 2013.

New Cosmology Correspondence: This archive contains a single folder of correspondence, mainly fan mail, relating to Dorothy L. Sayers’s BBC radio talk, “The New Cosmology.”

The Pantheon Papers: This archive contains correspondence and drafts relating to "The Pantheon Papers" by Dorothy Sayers, a series of satirical sketches on invented saints and celebrations of secular society.

The Quest of the Ring Archive: This archive contains memorabilia from a production of an adaptation of The Lord of the Rings for theatre.

The Religious Book Club Archive: The Religious Book Club archive contains various materials relating to the club and Sayers’s position on the Advisory Committee, including: meeting minutes, agendas, book lists, RBC advertisements, Bulletins, and related correspondence.

The Religious Drama Society Archive: The Religious Drama Society archive contains various materials relating to the society, including meeting minutes and related correspondence.

Religious Illustrated Cards and Booklets Archive: This archive contains correspondence and drafts relating to religious-themed booklets and cards containing text by Dorothy L. Sayers, including: The Days of Christ’s Coming, The Story of Easter, The Tale of Adam and Christ, The Story of Noah’s Ark, and The Enchanted Garden. Commonly known as the “Advent cards,” the works were mainly intended as Christmas and Easter cards.

Reynolds, Barbara. Barbara Reynolds Papers: This archive includes professional and personal documents relating to the life and work of Barbara Reynolds. Dr. Reynolds is a noted scholar of Dante, Italian studies, and Dorothy L. Sayers.

Ridler, Anne. Anne Ridler Collection: The Anne Ridler Collection contains correspondence and other documents relating to the life and work of Anne Ridler, poetess, playwright, and editor. Materials in the collection are primarily focused on Charles Williams.

Sadler, Glenn. Glenn Sadler Collection: The materials in this archive include publications, correspondence, illustrations, and other items relating to Glenn Sadler’s research on the artist, Arthur Hughes (1832-1915), who served as the illustrator for many of George MacDonald’s published works. Also included: a set of corrected proofs for Thomas Wingfold, Curate by George MacDonald.

Sayer, George. George Sayer Manuscripts Collection: George Sayer was a student and close personal friend of C.S. Lewis. This archive includes the manuscript and its typescript of an unpublished essay by Sayer called, "On C.S. Lewis." Also included is the typescript of The Celestial Search: C.S. Lewis, His Life and Work by Sayer (later titled Jack: C.S. Lewis and his Times - 1988 ed., and Jack: A Life of C.S. Lewis - ​1994 ed.).

Sayers Family Papers: This archive contains correspondence, certificates, and other documents and records relating to the family of Dorothy L. Sayers.

Schofield, Stephen. Schofield Correspondence Archive: This archive is a collection of correspondence from the files of Stephen Schofield, C.S. Lewis scholar and editor of the Canadian C.S. Lewis Journal. It contains correspondence between Stephen Schofield, Walter Hooper, Clyde S. Kilby, Kathryn Lindskoog, Ruth Pitter, George Sayer, and Sheldon Vanauken. Photocopies of letters by C.S. Lewis to various correspondents are also included, as well as various related materials.

Seeking the Secret Place Archive: This archive contains the materials related to the book Seeking the Secret Place: The Spiritual Formation of C.S. Lewis by Lyle W. Dorsett (Brazos Press, 2004).

Sewell, Brocard. Brocard Sewell Collection: This archive contains poems by Cecil Edward Chesterton (the younger brother of G.K. Chesterton), letters to Father Brocard Sewell, and the typescript of Sewell’s biography of Cecil titled Cecil Chesterton (Saint Albert's Press, 1975).

Shadowlands Films Archive: Materials relating to the 1993 Shadowlands film by Richard Attenborough, and a few photos from the 1985 film by Norman Stone.

Shideler, Mary McDermott. Mary McDermott Shideler Archive: This archive contains unsorted folders of written notes and typescripts relating to the research, writing and publication of The Theology of Romantic Love: A Study in the Writings of Charles Williams (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1962). It also contains notes and typescripts relating to the booklet Charles Williams: A Critical Essay (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1966), and to an unpublished book on developing a personal theology.

Shideler, Mary McDermott. Mary McDermott Shideler Special Archive: This archive contains a typescript of The Theology of Romantic Love: A Study in the Writings of Charles Williams (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1962), with penciled notes by C.S. Lewis. It also contains a typescript of an index to the works of Charles Williams sent to Lewis, and a photocopy of a letter by Lewis.

The Silver Trumpet Archive: Materials relating to the publication of the Bookmakers Guild 1986 edition. The Silver Trumpet, a fairy tale by Owen Barfield, was first published in 1925. This new edition was designed with new illustrations and an afterword by the Associate Director of the Wade Center, Marjorie Lamp Mead.

Society of St. John the Evangelist Collection: The ministry of Oxford’s Society of Saint John the Evangelist had a profound impact on Lewis’s spiritual formation. The following resources provide information on the SSJE, Father Walter Adams, Richard Meux Benson, and their impact on C.S. Lewis.

Spalding, Ruth. Ruth Spalding Collection: This archive contains materials from the Spalding family relating to Charles Williams, particularly in the areas of drama, secondary materials about Williams, and the 1961 BBC radio broadcast of “A Portrait of Charles Williams.”

Sprague, Rosamond. Rosamond Sprague Collection: This archive contains materials related to Dorothy L. Sayers, donated by Rosamond Sprague. Contents include materials relating to A Matter of Eternity (a book of selections from Sayers’s works, edited by Sprague), general correspondence, and personal papers.

St. Anne's House Archive: This archive contains materials relating to St. Anne’s House, an Anglican organization formed with the goal of bringing the Christian faith into dialogue with aspects of modern culture — with particular emphasis on reaching out to the artistic and intellectual communities of London. Dorothy L. Sayers was an active member of St. Anne’s House and a strong supporter of its mission.

Sullivan, John. John Sullivan Collection: This archive contains materials from the Chesterton collection of John J. Sullivan, and other personal interests of his. Included is a large variety of newspaper clippings, correspondence, book catalogs, Chesterton-related events materials, and secondary critical work on Chesterton by Sullivan and others, both published and unpublished.

Swann, Donald. Donald Swann Collection: Donald Swann set to music some of Tolkien and Lewis's works, such as Perelandra: An Opera; Poems and Songs of Middle Earth; and Tolkien and His World. The Donald Swann archive includes articles, reviews, publicity items and other materials related to Swann and his works.

Tennyson, G.B. G.B. Tennyson Papers: This archive contains original material by Owen Barfield, correspondence, and photographs from the personal papers of G.B. Tennyson, joint-literary executor for the estate of Owen Barfield.

Tolkien Centenary Conference Archive: This archive contains items related to the 1992 Tolkien Centenary, including promotional materials, stamps, and conference tickets, programs, and schedules.

Undergraduate Notes and Essays Archive by Dorothy L. Sayers: This archive contains extensive notes by Dorothy L. Sayers during her undergraduate years at Somerville College, Oxford University (1912-1915), or in the immediate period afterwards with a few pieces from other stages of her life.

Vanauken, Sheldon. Sheldon Vanauken Collection: Sheldon Vanauken is the author of a number of books and articles, including A Severe Mercy, a biographical account of marriage and Christian faith which chronicles the author's friendship with C.S. Lewis, and Gateway to Heaven, a novel which deals with married love and maturing. The Vanauken Collection contains typescripts and proofs of A Severe Mercy, Gateway to Heaven, and Under the Mercy, along with photographs of awards, photocopies of articles, reviews, and Vanauken's review briefs and letter logs regarding his work. Mr. Vanauken died October 28, 1996.

Walsh, Chad. Chad Walsh Papers: This archive contains Chad Walsh’s personal letters to and from C.S. Lewis and Joy Davidman, as well as correspondence between Chad Walsh and others on the subject of the Lewis family. Correspondence relating to Walsh’s book, C.S. Lewis: Apostle to the Skeptics (New York: Macmillan, 1949), is also included.

War in Heaven Archive: This archive is a collection of materials relating to the Wheaton College production of an original, musical adaptation of Charles Williams's War in Heaven.
