George Beverly Shea, "America's Beloved Gospel Singer," carried the Good News of Jesus Christ in song to every corner of the globe as the musical mainstay in Billy Graham's Crusades. Between Crusade, radio, and television dates, he composed many songs, sang hundreds of concerts, and recorded more than 70 albums of sacred music, but a poem by Rhea Miller captured the thrill of his heart: "I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause; I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause; I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame; I'd rather be true to His holy name."
The Billy Graham Center Museum is currently hosting a new, commemorative exhibit to celebrate the life of this great man of God.
